CERTIFIED MARINE SUPERVISORS COURSE
Course Objectives
To provide supervisors with knowledge and skills of effective communication, motivation, performance management as well as various team-building and supervisory leadership skills.

Course Duration
40.5 hours (5.5 days)
· From 8.30am to 5.00pm (training only)
Course examination will be scheduled about one week after end of course.
Theory lessons and discussion sessions followed by end of course/examination:
· Theory - 37.5 hours
· Examination - 3 hours
Entry Requirements
· 2 GCE 'O' Level/NTCII or equivalent with min. 1 year of working experience; or
· 3 GCE 'N' Level or 1 GCE 'O' Level with min. 1 year of working experience; or
· PSLE or equivalent with 2 - 3 years supervisory experience; or
· PSB-IPT Certificate in Section Leader; or
· Fast Forward Successful Supervision with 2 -3 years of supervisory experience

Certification
Participants who have successfully completed the course and pass the assessment will be issued with a Certificate of Completion in Certified Marine Supervisor Course by ASMI.

· Application form must be accompanied by a copy of the identity card or Work Permit, and
full course fee. All cheques should be crossed and made payable to ‘Association of Singapore Marine Industries’.
Replacement
Replacement of candidates is allowed if the substitute meets all the entry requirements, and the request is made at least 3 working days before commencement of course.
Withdrawal Policy
Any application for refund should be made in writing to ASMI. Refund for withdrawal is as follows:
· 100% - Two weeks before commencement of course
· 70% - Within two weeks before commencement of course
· NIL - On commencement of course
· NIL - Absent candidate
