Decarbonisation Seminar 2026 Post-Event Report

The ASMI Decarbonisation Seminar 2026, themed “Maritime Electrification 2.0: Charging Ahead”, was held on 22 October 2026 at the Trade Association Hub. Building on the inaugural seminar in 2025, this year's edition brought together representatives from government agencies, academia, classification societies, vessel operators and technology providers to discuss the next phase of maritime electrification in Singapore. Through five presentations and a panel discussion, the seminar explored developments in decarbonisation policies, charging infrastructure, technical standards, vessel operations and commercial viability. A key theme was that while electric vessel technologies continue to advance, wider adoption will require coordinated infrastructure planning, commercially viable solutions and closer industry collaboration.
